Virtualware becomes a member of IISART

 

Coinciding with Medica2014 in Dusseldorf, Virtualware took part in the 4th General Assembly of International Industry Society in Advanced Rehabilitation Technology (IISART), which Virtualware recently joined as a member of.** IISART**, whose members include some of the most prestigious physiotherapy technology manufacturers in the world, is dedicated to advance and promote modern healthcare technology in rehabilitation for the benefit of the patient and society at large.

At the occasion of its 4th General Assembly, IISART was able to look back to another successful year of the society and to discuss the upcoming activities for 2015.In total 24 representatives of the member companies were present at the General Assembly which took place on November 13, 2014 in Duesseldorf. Among other topics, the General Assembly decided on the approval of its new members and officially welcomed the following new full members to its society:

– Virtualware Group (www.virtualwaregroup.com)

– BKIN Technologies (www.bkintechnologies.com)

– Hasomed GmbH (www.hasomed.de)

– Biodex Medical Systems, Inc. (www.biodex.com)

– Bioservo Technologies (www.bioservo.com)

Virtualware presented its solution VirtualRehab, which is a clinically validated and CE certified software solution for neurorehabilitation that is directed to clinics, hospitals and healthcare centres to help treat patients with some degree of physical or neurological disability.

Furthermore, the General Assembly agreed on the participation at the first common congress of the International Consortium for Rehabilitation Technology proposed for 2017 in London. The General Assembly decided that IISART shall have its first own conference part (for example under the “INRS” brand) at the occasion of the congress. The working group promotion will be taking over the responsibility to align and coordinate this great opportunity to bring IISART to a new and higher level by having its own conference in London in 2017.
