VirtualRehab set to attend the first Neuro Rehab Expo in New York

The Neurological Rehabilitation Expo taking place on the 4th and 5th of March at the Javits Center in New York City will be the USA´s largest showcase for medical professionals treating neurological conditions and is expected to draw over 1500 neuro rehabilitation professionals.

Virtualware will be participating in this exciting event with Barrett Medical, developers of the Procifio rehabilitation robotic arm. Proficio uses the largest ever 3D haptics-force-field to explore brain neuroplasticity, and will assist in the rehabilitation of patients recovering from spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and stroke. The Proficio can be connected to the VirtualRehab platform, the video game platform designed by Virtualware for use in physical therapy, allowing patients to play engaging games in both active and passive modes.

We will also be presenting our clinically validated and CE certified VirtualRehab solution using motion capture technologies like the Microsft Kinect, and where patients perform therapy in the form of entertaining videogames in a 3D environment.

Designed with leading neurologists and physiotherapists, VirtualRehab is being used around the world to help improve the therapy process for patients suffering from Neurodegenerative diseases, Neuromuscular disorders, Neurovascular disorders and to help improve mobility in the elderly. VirtualRehab can be used in clinics or in patients’ homes through our Telerehabilitation system.

Please come and visit us at Stand 313 to see two really exciting technologies being used to help improve the lives of patients.
