We’re happy to announce the launch of VirtualRehab 2.4, which is compatible with the Kinect for Xbox One, the latest motion detection sensor from Microsoft. The Kinect for Xbox One not only works with Xbox videogame console, but also Windows-based PCs using a Microsoft USB adapter, where VirtualRehab can be installed.
The new Kinect has a series of features that improve the overall VirtualRehab user experience. Some of these include:
Improved skeletal tracking to assure increased precision when following users’ movements
Improved fidelity in 3D camera for various ambient lighting situations
Much wider field of view means the distance between the user and the Kinect can be greatly reduced, which is great for installations where space is a problem.
Built as a single piece with no moving parts, which means less chances of breakage
VirtualRehab 2.4 continues to support the original Kinect for Windows for those clients who are using it presently.
