Preview of latest version of VirtualRehab at the Neurological Rehabilitation Expo

Virtualware will be previewing the latest version of VirtualRehab this week at the Neurological Rehabilitation Expo taking place June 15th and 16th at the ExCel Centre in London. The Expo is the UK’s largest show for medical professionals working in the rehabilitation of neurological conditions, including biomechanists, neurologists, physiotherapists and professionals working in acquired brain injury, rehabilitation medicine specialists or any neurological rehabilitation professionals.

Virtualware will be demonstrating new exergames for VirtualRehab to be launched this month, as well as showing some very exciting new features which will form part of VirtualRehab 4.0 launching in the fall of 2016.

VirtualRehab is a CE certified and clinically validated rehabilitation platform that uses videogame technologies and motion capture systems used to retrain upper and lower body motor functions as well as to improve fine motor skills of the hands. Currently available in over a dozen countries, VirtualRehab has been used by thousands of patients around the world.

David Fried, Director of Business and Product Development of VirtualRehab, said “The Neurological Rehabilitation Expo is the ideal place for us to give rehabilitation professionals a taste of what’s to come in the newest versions of VirtualRehab since many of the new features are a direct result of our work with hospitals and universities here in the UK.”

David will be participating in a debate surrounding the latest developments in Augmented Reality and gamification for rehabilitation on Thursday June 16th at 12pm.

VirtualRehab will also be front and centre at the Expo when Jayne Coulson, Neurophysiotherapy Team Lead at Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital in Essex, will discuss the steps taken to implement VirtualRehab within the NHS Trust as well as her relationship with Virtualware, including trialling new exergames and giving feedback to improve the product.

Virtualware will be at stand 524 showing live demos of VirtualRehab and explaining its benefits for neurorehabilitation
